Among the bends of the Yarra, a mere nine kilometres from the centre of the city is Hawthorn – an area where opportunities flourish, beauty is at every turn, and an alluring charm never ceases to run through the air.

The spiritual home of Australian tennis – Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club.

For over 100 years, the Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club has provided a first class standard of sporting amenity to Melbourne. The varied and impeccable grounds, comprising of grass, all-weather en tout cas and Plexicushion courts, are overlooked by the clubhouse, which features a fully-equipped gymnasium, lap pool and spa. That’s alongside a restaurant, bar and bistro for times that call for indulgent postmatch rejuvenation.

Underpinning the Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club is a philosophy built upon integrity and a true love for the sport of tennis. This translates into the beautifully maintained complex that the club is today, one that inspires individuals to be part of the broader tennis community, while providing a setting for members and guests to feel entirely at home – both on and off the court.

An area of invigorating green expanses.

At moments it is unbelievable that even so close to the city can still lie verdant retreats that make you feel as if you are a world away. Melfort’s surroundings afford an array of rejuvenating settings, in the forms of natural havens and recreational reserves.

Encompassing the residences are parks aplenty, from the ovals of Sir Zelman Cowen Park, the lawns of MCC Bowls, to the historic St James and Grace parks, proudly preserving Hawthorn’s heritage in the most beautiful ways possible.
